Energy Balls Recipe With Dates – Paleo Recipe
Okay, I know when you see the words energy balls you don’t immediately think YUMMY, however, I’m going to go totally crazy and say… I actually love these more than any sweets I’ve ever tried. How can something so healthy be so tasty? I’m not sure of the science behind it but it’s the truth!!!
People have been eating these sweet balls based on dates and nuts for centuries in Middle Eastern countries but we seem to be a bit late in catching on.
These are a great snack which has really stopped me from suffering those afternoon urges when I’ve been trying to lose weight and look after my health and as an added bonus they are super quick and easy to make 🙂

Energy Balls Recipe With Dates rolled in coconut. Paleo Energy Balls which prevent snacking and feed any sweet urges without eating sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 6 medjool dates stones removed
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Place all of the ingredients apart from the sesame seeds into a food processor and turn on to a high speed until well combined and sticky
- Using a teaspoon, scoop out a heap of the mixture and roll in your hands to form a ball
- Roll the balls in sesame seeds and chill in the refrigerate until ready for a sweet treat
I prefer to leave them in the refrigerator for a few hours before eating them, but you can eat them straight away if you wish.
